Saravanan aka Suriya made his debut in the movie Nerrukku Ner in the year 1997, after which there has been a steady growth in his career. He is well-known for playing unusual and different roles in the 19 films where he has acted. Kaaka Kaaka was his first box office hit. He won the Filmfare best actor award for Pithamagan and Aayutha Ezhuthu.
