I am yet to come out of Vaaranam Aayiram. The feedback is still pouring in. The other day a woman called up and poured her heart out, saying the film was 'a leaf out of their book.'
It is heartening to know that people could relate to the film. I don't get to act such films every day. I would love to do a film like Vaaranam Aayiram every year because such films give me a platform to showcase my acting skills.
It won't be interesting if I would do every film keeping commercial success in mind. But Vaarnam Aayiram was a big success in every way.
Even the release of Aamir Khan's Ghajini gave me a big boost. To my surprise, I got a call from Deepa Mehta. She had seen the Tamil version of Ghajini [starring Suriya and Asin] and she appreciated my acting and the film. It was a nice gesture from such a big director. That appreciation came totally unexpected.
Now, I am busy with K S Ravi Kumar's Aadhavan and Hari's film. What makes the latter exciting is that I will play a police officer after Kakka Kakka.
